Finding commitments that matter
While a congratulations is certainly in order for Titanium’s founder and CEO, Robyn Streisand, for landing a coveted seat on the How Women Lead Silicon Valley Executive Board, the take-away from her recent appointment is what’s the most inspiring. In speaking to Robyn about her new role, she shares how special it is to be part of a group that honors each member’s individual contributions and explores the value in each and every one.
“The meetings I have attended thus far have been outstanding. I am proud to be among this group of CEOs who are taking the time to listen to one another, evaluate what each person has to say, give the time and consideration each person needs, and then help each other turn those thoughts into valuable insight and actions. It is impressive.”
Every few years, Robyn looks at her commitments outside of her roles at The Mixx NYC and Titanium to see how she can give back and make positive contributions to the communities that matter to her. She heard about the How Women Lead Silicon Valley Executive Board opening through a member CEO at Titanium, and after a mutual evaluation process, decided this is where she would make a difference with her experience as a forerunner in the diversity and inclusion space.
A perfect fit for Robyn, How Women Lead is a champion organization in promoting the voices of all women and propelling their leadership forward. They are known for bring together influential women in an inclusive and highly supportive community to collaborate, innovate and provide a platform for thinking and sharing.
What is not often said enough about giving your time to help others, is the real change and growth it makes within yourself. On a recent video conference, I watched Robyn’s eyes light up with passion and joy as she spoke about her new role. It is this kind of give and take that we all need in life.
Look for “yin and yang” experience that you can bring into your own life. Take on opportunities that not only accept your creative thinking and thought leadership; but will breathe new life and insight into your own growth.
